Dr. Johnston attended St. Anne’s School in Barrington and Loyola Academy in Wilmette. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University and a Masters degree in Public Health from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She received her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She interned at the Illinois Masonic Medical Centers Obstetric and Gynecology Residency Program.

Dr. Johnston has written several research articles and abstracts in obstetrics and infertility, and is experienced in robotic surgery.

Dr. Johnston will reside in Barrington with her husband and daughter.
